Stopping Sexual Assault
A recently released Department of Defense report estimates that 26,000 members of our armed forces were victims of sexual assault in 2012, an increase from 19,300 in 2010. Last month, Senator Boxer testified before the Senate Armed Services Subcommittee on Personnel on the epidemic of sexual assault in the military. “This is simply unacceptable and it must stop,” Senator Boxer said. “And we are the ones who can stop it.”
