Assistants can help you get tickets for the tours listed below.
You can request a tour through our webform
page. Be sure to indicate the dates of your trip, the number
of people in your group, the tours of most interest to you, and
your contact information (phone number, email address, and mailing
address). Many tours are held in the early morning and late afternoon,
and we cannot request a specific time or reschedule a tour once
it has been confirmed. To avoid a travel conflicts we encourage
constituents to only provide the full days they will be in Washington
D.C. and exclude travel days.
- White House Tours: Public tours of the White
House are available for groups of 10 or more people. For groups
smaller than 10, we will make every effort to combine the request
with other groups but we cannot guarantee availability. Requests
are accepted up to six months in advance. These self-guided walking
tours are available Tuesday through Saturday (excluding federal
holidays) and take approximately 45 minutes to complete. We encourage
you to submit your request as early as possible since a limited
number of tours are available. For the most current tour information,
please call the 24-hour line at (202) 456-7041. Please note that
White House tours may be subject to last minute cancellation.
- Senate and House Galleries: Gallery passes
to view the House and Senate chambers can be picked up in Senator
Boxer’s Washington D.C. office in room 112 of the Hart Senate
Office Building between the hours of 9 to 5. These passes can be
used at any time during the 109th Congress as long as the member
body is in session. Please visit the United
States Senate website to find dates the Senate will be in session.
Passes for a tour can be obtained at the Capitol Guide
Service kiosk located along the curving sidewalk southwest of the
Capitol (near the intersection of First Street and Independence
Avenue, S.W.). Passes are distributed each morning at 9:00 a.m.
on a first come, first served basis. Additionally, the Senate and
House of Representative galleries are now only open to the public
on those days that Congress is in session (click
here to check the Senate schedule).
- Bureau of Engraving & Printing: As the U.S.
Government's security printer, the BEP is responsible for the design,
engraving and printing of all U.S. paper currency. A world leader
in printing technology, the Bureau also produces postage stamps,
White House invitations, Treasury obligations and other U.S. securities.
The Bureau is closed on weekends, federal holidays and the week
between Christmas and New Years. For updated information please

- Library of Congress: The Library of Congress
is the nation's oldest federal cultural institution and serves as
the research arm of Congress. It is also the largest library in
the world, with nearly 128 million items on approximately 530 miles
of bookshelves. The collections include more than 29 million books
and other printed materials, 2.7 million recordings, 12 million
photographs, 4.8 million maps, and 57 million manuscripts. Constituents
receive a tour of the Thomas Jefferson Building and an introduction
to the “American Treasures” exhibition. Tours are available
Monday through Friday except federal holidays. For updated information

- Holocaust Museum: The United States Holocaust
Memorial Museum is America’s national institution for the
documentation, study, and interpretation of Holocaust history, and
serves as this country’s memorial to the millions of people
murdered during the Holocaust. Tours are available every day except
Yom Kippur and Christmas Day. For updated information please call

- Supreme Court: The Court is the highest tribunal
in the nation for all cases and controversies arising under the
Constitution or the laws of the United States. As the final arbiter
of the law, the Court is charged with ensuring the American people
the promise of equal justice under law and, thereby, also functions
as guardian and interpreter of the Constitution. Congressional Courtroom
Lectures are offered on a very limited basis. On days when the Court
is not sitting, seven lectures are open to the public on a first-come,
first-serve basis every hour on the half-hour from 9:30 a.m. to
