Senate-Passed Spending Bill Includes $19 million for Central Valley
Washington, D.C. – Today, the U.S. Senate passed the Fiscal Year 2009 Omnibus Appropriations bill, which included more than $19 million in funding requested by Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) for key projects in the Central Valley.
Senator Boxer: Protecting Public Lands and Creating Jobs
Yesterday I introduced legislation to designate the Berryessa Snow Mountain region as a National Conservation Area, which would better manage and protect nearly 350,000 acres of federal lands in Lake, Mendocino, Napa, Solano, and Yolo Counties and create jobs by promoting tourism and outdoor recreation across the region.
