Boxer, Thompson Introduce Bill to Create Berryessa Snow Mountain National Conservation Area
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) and Congressman Mike Thompson (CA-5) today introduced the Berryessa Snow Mountain National Conservation Area Act, legislation that would designate the Berryessa Snow Mountain region as a National Conservation Area to better manage and protect close to 350,000 acres of federal lands in Lake, Mendocino, Napa, Solano and Yolo Counties and to promote tourism and outdoor recreation across the region.
Senator Boxer: Protecting Public Lands and Creating Jobs
Yesterday I introduced legislation to designate the Berryessa Snow Mountain region as a National Conservation Area, which would better manage and protect nearly 350,000 acres of federal lands in Lake, Mendocino, Napa, Solano, and Yolo Counties and create jobs by promoting tourism and outdoor recreation across the region.
