San Diego's Idun Pharmaceuticals First Recipient Of Boxer Health Care Champion Award  

San Diego, CA-U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer today visited Idun Pharmaceuticals in San Diego and presented the company with her new Health Care Champion Award. Joined by Idun CEO Dr. Steve Mento and BIOCOM President Joe Panetta, Boxer praised Idun's work in developing new health care treatments and providing health insurance to its employees.

"I am pleased to present Idun Pharmaceuticals with my Health Care Champion Award," Boxer said. "Because of its groundbreaking work in life sciences and the comprehensive healthcare coverage that it offers its employees, Idun Pharmaceuticals is doubly deserving of this recognition."

Idun Pharmaceuticals works to develop treatments for liver disease, central nervous system diseases, cancer, heart disease and asthma.
