Senator Boxer: Go Red for Women
Thursday, February 3, 2011
This Friday, February 4th, is the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women” Day, when thousands of Americans will wear red to raise awareness about the danger of heart disease - particularly for women.
According to the Heart Association, heart disease kills more American women than any other condition yet only 13 percent of women view the disease as their top health threat.
Go Red for Women is an effort to give women the knowledge and tools they need to protect their health and reduce the risks of heart disease and stroke.
