I am very pleased to find out that you and Senator Olympia Snowe (R-ME) have introduced the Safe Skies Act, a bill that was designed to ensure that America’s cargo plane pilots are sufficiently rested before they fly. A very important issue regarding our air safety.

Commercial pilots also need protection too. More people's lives are at stake vs. cargo loss. Airlines are stretching Airport Controllers and Pilots out to their breaking points with tragic consequences. Thank you.

Please spend less time co-authoring bills such as the Safe Skies Act and focus on the important challenges facing our nation. This bill is akin to telling the stewards on a sinking ship to take a extra break before helping load the lifeboats. We need to balance the federal budget, eliminate duplicate and burdensome laws (do we really need another one like the Safe Skies Act?) and spur innovation. We need fewer laws. Please, you only have a few years to make a difference.
