Today I had the honor of introducing Jesus Bernal, President Obama’s nominee to be a U.S. District Court Judge for the Central District of California, at his confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee.  To read my statement, please click here.

Mr. Bernal is currently the Directing Attorney for the Riverside Office of the Federal Public Defender for the Central District of California.  If confirmed by the Senate, he would be the only Latino District Court judge serving the Central District’s Eastern Division, which includes Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
