Senator Boxer: Protecting All Women from Domestic Violence

Wednesday, July 25, 2012

Dear Friend:

This week on the Senate floor, I called on House Republicans to protect all women from domestic violence by passing the Senate’s bipartisan bill reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA).  To watch my speech, please click here.

The House Republicans’ version of the bill leaves out protections for millions of immigrant women, Native American women, college students and members of the LGBT community.  The Senate bill will help ensure that we are protecting all Americans from domestic violence.

Sincerely,

Barbara Boxer, US Senator, California
U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer
