Senator Boxer:  Stop HHS Ruling

Wednesday, October 1, 2008

Dear Friend:

I wanted to let you know that I have joined many of my Senate colleagues in expressing concerns about a proposed rule by the Department of Health and Human Services.  The proposed rule would require any health care entity that receives federal financing to certify in writing that none of its employees are required to assist in any way with medical services they find objectionable.  This rule would undermine women’s health.  You can see our actual letter by using this link: http://www.boxer.senate.gov/news/outreach/2008/09/HHS_Comments.pdf.

Sincerely,

Barbara Boxer, US Senator, California
U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer
