Senator Boxer:  Post 9/11 GI Bill Offers Advanced Payments Program

If you have applied for the new Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits from the Veterans Administration (VA), you likely know that there have been delays in processing many claims.  Because of this problem, the VA is now issuing special advanced payments of up to $3,000.

If you are awaiting processing of Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits, or if you know someone in this situation, you may seek more information about advanced payments at http://www.gibill.va.gov/advpayqa.htm  I encourage you to share this information with any veteran who may find it useful.
