Senator Boxer: Protecting Public Lands, Promoting Tourism, and Creating Jobs
Wednesday, July 11, 2012
Dear Friend:
Today I introduced legislation to designate the Berryessa Snow Mountain region as a National Conservation Area, which would better manage and protect 319,000 acres of federal lands in Lake, Mendocino, Napa and Yolo Counties and promote recreational opportunities across the region. To read more, please click here.
My bill has strong support from a broad coalition of local governments, elected officials, business owners, landowners, farmers, and many conservation and recreation groups. It will not only help preserve the region’s natural resources but will also promote tourism and create jobs in the local communities.
Sincerely,
U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer
