On his own merits, I too would be delighted to have Sen. Kerry as SoS; I am NOT happy about how the Right railroaded Rice out of the conversation, and I am one of those who agrees with the Progressive pundits who are convinced that Kerry vacating his seat will open the gate for Scott Brown to win that spot. I think he'd do better continuing to serve us in the Senate Majority. Of course, YOU would know more about that than i do, but given the info I have, that seems the realistic concern at present.
