The primary goal of the AFG program is to meet the firefighting and emergency response needs of fire departments and nonaffiliated emergency medical services organizations. Since 2001, AFG has helped firefighters and other first responders to obtain critically needed equipment, protective gear, emergency vehicles, training, and other resources used to protect the public and emergency personnel from fire and related hazards.

At a time when California is facing an ever-expanding fire season, it is my hope that those on the front lines know about the AFG program and how it can help meet their firefighting and emergency response needs.
